Why Leak Tester?

What is Leak Tester (leakage inspection)?

Leakage of gas, air and water from the product that uses them is not only dangerous but will lose the trust of customers. In order to avoid such troubles, you will need to implement “leakage inspection” to check if there is any leakage of gas or air from the products. Our “Leak Tester (Leakage Inspection)” is a device to be used for the leakage inspection to detect small hole and crack in the product. The traditional “Submergence Ocular Inspection (a method of detecting the leakage by placing the product under water and visually check if air bubble comes out)” totally depends on the naked eye of inspector and is not capable of managing the leakage in a form of numerical data.

Leak tester (Leakage Inspection), on the other hand, pressurizes or depressurizes the finished product and detects the possible change in pressure with the use of highly-sensitive pressure difference sensor.  Since the detected leakage will be detected in a form of digital data, digitalization and automation of leakage inspection can easily be made.

Submergence Ocular Inspection

The most primitive way to check the leakage. Just like repairing flat tire, tube is placed under water to visually check if air bubble comes out. It greatly depends on the skill of inspector. Also, the test result can not be managed numerically.


Inspection Using Leak Tester

Work can be tested in a dry condition, can manage leakage numerically and can save labor through automation. Highly accurate testing can be done in shorter period of time. Also, test result does not vary depending on inspector.

Setting of “Leakage Standard”

The accuracy of leak tester (leakage inspection) varies depending on test conditions and therefore, setting of quantitative “Leakage Standard” is necessary in order to achieve accurate numerical data. It is advisable to perform testing under multiple conditions with some non-defective products, which are free from leakage, using leakage standard device (Leak Master) so that more accurate data can be acquired.
